"Saving a Life Means the World to the Life You Saved"
Sweet little Jasper came to the rescue on Monday, January 8th, 2024. Originally he was set for transport through Partners Canines, however upon his arrival we realized his full health issues/needs. This precious little soul is blind from early onset cataracts. He tugged at our heartstrings and we just cannot turn a blind eye. Jasper is heartworm negative and we have started prevention. He is positive for Lyme and Anaplasma and we will be treated with vet prescribed medications. Though he is well adjusted to his blindness, he often sits starring blankly. He will tip his head back and quietly howl. He likes other dogs and wants to play but can't see where they are so he just jumps in place and wags his tail. Even though he can't see, he is very trusting of people!
His initial ocular exam and bloodwork is promising. The Animal Eye Care Center states that cataract surgery should be successful - 95%! Jasper is only 4 years old and we feel he deserves every opportunity to have a full and happy life.
This will be a TEAM EFFORT - Networking together to make miracles happen!
