"Saving a Life Means the World to the Life You Saved"
Beckah was one in a million kind of special! Her eyes quickly connected you to the very core of your soul, full of knowing, full of mischief, full of love. Her heart easily and completely captured your heart in an instant. Being around Beckah daily was happiness.
Beckah was a full Beagle, around 25 lbs and came into the rescue at about 3-4 years old. She was an owner-surrender. She was very skinny, in extreme pain and paralyzed in the hindquarters and atrophied back legs due to 3 herniated spinal disks (origin unknown but questionable). We accepted Beckah and instantly saw her will to try and live. She received Laser treatments, Chinese herbal medicines, pain killers, massage/range of motion therapy and weekly Acupuncture.
In less than 6 weeks this baby was up and running! She figured out her own special "gait" that worked for her hindquarters. She was also a lazy hound gal that loved her naps and comfy soft doggie beds. She loved being a part of the daily routine and thoroughly loved people. She was a full Beagle so you had to watch your kitchen food access and trash can!
Beckah was adopted and with continued treatments lived out the rest of her days with a wonderful family who loved her deeply. RIP Beckah.
