“What lies in our
path is nothing to fear…for the power within us
is far greater than any obstacle.”
Thank you
Once again we want to thank all
of you who support us here at RCAR. Your
thoughts, prayers and donations (no matter how
small or large) give us the strength to keep
going and to continue our efforts to lend a
loving hand to critters in dire need! We would
not be a success without YOU!!

Plea for Help!
We have many
horses that need homes or sponsors quickly! If we do
not receive donations for their care or adoptive homes by
Oct 15-31st we will no longer have the funding to
care for them! Please help us! If you have a love for
horses this is your chance to give back to these
magnificent, beautiful loving creatures!
ADOPT: If you have the space, pasture or
shed/barn please open your heart to adopting a horse and
giving it a loving home for life! If you are interested
please fill out our application – after approval you can
sign our adoption contract and then just set a time to come
get your horse or have it delivered.
FOSTER: If you want to help and have some
extra pasture or an empty stall in your barn please foster a
horse for the winter. You would be responsible for their
basic care and offer them a home until an adoptive home can
be found.
SPONSOR: It costs around $120-150 per
month to care for an average horse (grain, hay, farrier,
vaccines-deworming etc). If you cannot adopt or foster
please consider sponsoring a horse! Your donation each
month would be tax deductible!

“Adele” – abandoned, malnourished
and unwanted she showed up at RCAR. She has been
gaining weight quickly and is absolutely gorgeous!
Adele is sound and healthy (still needs a bit more
weight) She is a great companion and doesn’t require
anything special. We believe she has been ridden or
trained in the past and will have riding
possibilities (but her history is unknown). She is
possibly a Saddlebred/Thoroughbred or similar cross,
standing approx. 15 hh and is in her late teens.
Good with vet/farrier/loading etc. |
|

|
“Scarlet” – Beautiful dun QH mare,
standing about 14.2 hh and is only 4 years old! She
is very sweet, loves attention. Great with
vet/farrier. This young girl has a bad scar on her
left ribcage near the girth area from an old
injury…it does not hurt her but does prevent her
from being ridden. She also has a permanent
mechanical limp but has been thoroughly checked out
and is not in pain. She is a great pasture
companion or would be good for teaching on the
ground. Easy keeper |
|

|
“Dew” – Very kind appaloosa mare.
She is about 15.1 hh and about 14 years old. She
was never trained to ride and does have some sight
limitations and would not be a good candidate for
riding training. She is a great pasture
companion…has no special requirements and is an easy
keeper. Great with vet/farrier/loading etc. Loves
attention. Knows her way around fine and gets along
with others well. |
|

|
“Marie” – his girl still has a lot
of trail miles left! She is a true foundation style
appaloosa mare. Standing about 14.1 and is 18 years
young. Excellent on trails, crossing water/bridges,
bikes/traffic etc. She has a lot of energy, is very
responsive and is very well trained with a good
handle so is best suited for an intermediate + level
rider. She does have 1 short stride to a hind leg
but is found to be only a mechanical issue and
barely noticeable to the eye. |
4 of DD’s Pups have been adopted!
|

|
Pregnant and abandoned
DD and her young daughter Ditto were tossed out
on the side of the road with DD’s 6 young puppies to
fend for themselves…and that’s exactly what they did
until Rugby Creek found them!
Ditto and 4 pups have found
wonderful homes!
DD and 2 daughters –
Dana & Geisha – are still searching their
forever families…DD is 25 lbs and her daughters
should be no bigger at maturity. If you are
interested in adopting please click here for more
information!

$650.00 We are also desperate for 30 large rolls of hay,
costing about $1500.00. Please

to start and complete project.

Teka and 3 other cats
needing homes
|

|
Meet
“Teka”. She is a very loving calico short hair
spayed female cat. She is litterbox trained and
loves attention. She is looking for an inside home
only. She has a neurological condition which makes
her hindquarters a little unstable but she gets
around fine and has no special needs other than she
must be inside…she gets along well with other
cats/dogs but needs a home where she will not be
bullied or chased by dogs.
|
Lillie is still searing
a forever home
|

|
Lillie is the kindest, quietest, most unassuming
dog we’ve ever had here at RCAR. She is very loving
and is content just to “be”. She is good inside or
outside but does require a fenced yard. Would be
excellent with a retired person. Gets along well
with other cats and dogs. Medium size, medium hair
coat. Spayed and UTD on vaccines.

Bendi Needs Your Help
Once Again!
|

|
Once again,
Bendi needs you to reach out and help her! She
needs another (hopefully final) small surgery for
her RV Tear. We need to raise funds to schedule the
procedure at DCLAH with Dr. Meeker. Cost is approx
$500.00 Please donate to her cause, this extremely
special mare deserves a chance at living!
We must find a sponsor or
sponsors for Bendi’s care by Oct 31st
2008! Our rescue has cared for Bendi since fall of
2006 and is having major difficulty continuing with
her care financially! A Donation of $150 will cover
Bendi’s care for 1 month. We need regular monthly
sponsors for her…even if you pledge to send $25 a
month we can build on that and in a group effort we
can all save and support Bendi together!
